Cavity Lake

From BWCAWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Cavity Lake is a very small, remote lake southwest of Seagull Lake in the east-central BWCAW. Cavity Lake is not accessible by water, portage, or trail, and likely sees little to no visitors. Sometime around July 14, 2006, lightning ignited a fire near the southeast shore of Cavity Lake. This blaze would grow to become the 32,000 acre Cavity Lake Fire, the largest wildfire in the Boundary Waters in over a century.
