The Superior National Forest East Zone Complex were a set of four forest fires that burned in the area of the BWCAW south of the Gunflint Trail in September 2006. All fires in the complex were started by lightning on September 7.

The Famine Lake Fire burned 4,044 acres around Long Island Lake, while the Red Eye Fire burned 1,792 acres around Winchell and Gaskin lakes. The Sumpet and Patriot fires were much smaller, having burned 58 and 4 acres, respectively. Rainfall ultimately quenched the East Zone Complex fires in mid- to late September.

When combined with July's Cavity Lake Fire and Turtle Lake Fire, the summer of 2006 ended up being the most significant wildfire season in the Boundary Waters since 1894 (see Chronology of forest fires).
