Grassy Lake

From BWCAWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Grassy Lake is a small narrow lake in the southeastern BWCAW between Brule Lake and Winchell Lake. Oriented NNE-SSW, Grassy deserves its name as most of the lake is covered in thick floating muskeg which supports fields of grasses and other plants. A narrow channel provides a path through from one portage to the other. There are no campsites on Grassy Lake.

Connections

  • North 200 rods to Wanihigan Lake. While relatively flat, this long portage is rocky and rough in places, particularly at the southern (Grassy Lake) end. Winchell Lake is one more short portage beyond.
