Lake Insula
From BWCAWiki
Note: This map incorrectly identifies Lake Insula as Hudson Lake
Lake Insula is a large (2,957 acre), island-studded lake east of Ely. It is often accessed from the Lake One entry point or the Snowbank Lake entry point. It connects west to Hudson Lake via a 110 rod portage, east to Alice Lake via the Kawishiwi River and a few short portages and north to Thomas Lake.
The lake can be split up into a northern and a southern half, separated approximately in the middle by a penninsula and a large island. The southern half has more islands than the northern half. There are several campsites throughout the lake, including many on islands.
