South Seagull Fire
From BWCAWiki
The south shore of Seagull Lake was intentionally burned by the U.S. Forest Service in 2003. The goal of this prescribed burn, referred to as the Arc Lake Fire by the USFS, was to reduce forest fuels (i.e. dead wood) which had been created during the Fourth of July Blowdown in 1999. The burn was approximately 4,000 acres, stretching to Paulson Lake about 1.5 miles south of Seagull. Adjacent Three Mile Island on Seagull Lake was also intentionally burned, in 2002.
