I'm originally from Maplewood, Minnesota, but I live near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. The BWCA is probably my favorite place on earth. I've been about four times, but only twice when I was old enough to enjoy it. I'm planning another trip over this summer with a few friends. See also: Faldizzle

Summer 2005

Entered at Moose Lake (near Basswood), to Sucker Lake, and Birch Lake, Knife Lake, then portaged south to Ensign Lake and back to Moose Lake (near Basswood).

Summer 2006

Entered at Snowbank Lake, to Disappointment Lake and Ima Lake. Unfortunately, we were in the blowdown area during the fires, so campfires were banned. Without the smoke from the fire, the mosquitoes were unbearable, so we left early.

Summer 2007

Eric, Kelton, Jacquie, Courtney, Caity, and Jingles. Entered at Mudro Lake, paddled up the Horse River on the Three Falls loop. Did a 340-rod portage into Basswood Lake, which we paddled down into Jackfish Bay, and portaged across back through Range Lake to Mudro. Planned for five days, but pace was faster than expected and we left after four days.
